I am sitting in our cool, vibrant satellite office at Fluidminds in Stockholm and reading some interesting stuff about the new book from IDEO - the first one from Tom Kelley was really not much to hail... - that focuses on different innovation roles. Take at peak at the Fast Company article here... Andreas is working hard with IKEA and SonyEricsson in the Innovation Lab - I hope you guys are having fun!
Johannesburg - the Capital of Africa
Joburg, South Africa is flourishing - in search for good examples of social entrepreneurship together with AISE and Pioneers of Change we found lots and lots in a city that is booming of creativity and filled with innovation spirit. Just taking a looking at the business school GIBS make me wonder if SA is a development country or if Sweden is one... But of course there is still massive problems with the gap between the rich in Sandton and the poor people in the shacks of Soweto. But the spirit of change is there! Just start removing the walls and throw away the locks and justice and equality will prevail!
Last but not least, we have discovered the new place to be for bar and restaurant hopping in the Southern hemisphere - 7th Street in Melville, Joburg. It rocks!
The Swedish Innovation Strategy
Some of you have asked where you can find some of the articles I talk about in my seminars, so here are the links to two of them: The Swedish Government's innovation strategy can be found here, and Richard Floridas creative class research on Europe, can you read here. The first one is in Swedish and the second one is in English - both are pdf:s!
